The role:
As the role of Business Support Officer within Corndel you will provide key administration and support activities that underpin the learner End-Point-Assessment (EPA) experience. This role is housed within the Assessment Team, which provides the core and critical operational support for the Professional Development Experts who deliver our professional learning programmes and, ultimately, EPA. A particular focus for this role will involve working closely with EPA management systems and the Assessment Manager and wider team.
The role requires a flexible individual with excellent communication skills, administrative experience in Apprenticeships, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a diverse and varied workload.

Responsibilities include:
  • Using EPA Management systems
  • Sending out feedback and results to learners
  • Communicating effectively with learners, internal and external stakeholders
  • Co-managing the AdminEPA inbox
  • Booking exams or LADs
  • Supporting and contributing effectively to Assessment team meetings
  • Supporting and advising on effective approaches to monitor and improve processes and systems
  • Support the self-assessment process, Ofsted, and external audit visits from an administrative viewpoint.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of all learners and colleagues you are responsible for or encounter.
  • Consistently demonstrate Corndel values.

Experience and Skills:
Essential:
  • Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Use of external MIS systems and platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a professional manner
  • Good attention to detail and a natural completer finisher, with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Committed to their own personal development within Corndel, and continuously improve and develop your practice
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and between the different teams within Corndel.
  • High levels of punctuality, reliability and integrity
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative with a willingness to take on responsibility.
  • A confident user of IT and a Good understanding of Microsoft Programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms)

Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and understanding of End Point Assessment
  • Experience of Aptem or other portfolio systems.
  • Experience of working with End Point assessment Organisations.
